Books You Always Have To Carry With You

Well, hey there.
It's been a long time since I've posted something here.
So...
I just came up with a list of books you always have to carry with you - if you have them, of course.

Keri Smith - How to be an Explorer of the World (Portable Art Life Museum)
This book is about seeing the world differently. Challenges. Exploring, and adventures. It's really amazing, and you can use this book your whole life! Definitely worth it.

Keri Smith - This is not a Book
This has a whole different summary than 'How to be an Explorer of the World', but has lots of 'exercises', and orders, things you can do. You can only do some of them at some special places, so always take this  with you too.

Richard Horne - 101 Things To Do Before You Die
Well, I think you already guessed it, with the title and all. In here, are 101 things to do before you die. They all have instructions, and helpful tips. Really nice, sometimes funny, sometimes awkward! Try it out! And take it with you!

Richard Horne and Tracey Turner - 101 Things You Wish You'd Invented (...and Some You Wish No One Had)
Very interesting! Always something to tick off, something to read. Don't forget this one!

For the rest... You always need a funny book (like The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy), a sad book (like The Lovely Bones), and a fantasy book (like one of the Edge Chronicles or the Hunger Games) with you to feel complete.
I hope this gives you some inspiration!

Lots of love,
Lisa

Pacific Skies

Hey there!
I am a great fan of Pacific Skies. I guess you haven't heard of him - almost nobody has. I think his music is great, and if you hear his songs, and think they are great, send them through and share them! They are really worth listening, so PLEASE send through!
Sincerely,
Lisa

Socialpunk

Hi everyone who somehow is reading this!
I've found this book - well, a review of it - and it's called Socialpunk, by Monica Leonelle. It's the first part in the Socialpunk Trilogy, and I can't wait to have that book in my hands! It sounds absolutely amazing!

Sincerely,
Lisa

Rain

Hearts beat
Hearts break
But still the rain falls,

Leaves crackle
Trees sway
The rain still falls,

Clouds boom,
Winds whisper,
The rain, never ceasing

For the rain is the tears of our angels,
weeping for our anguish,
pleading for our souls,

the rain is always falling on the world,
we don't always feel it,

season come,
dreams go,
but the rain beats on,
this time, in the form of,

Snow.

Amazing!

KONY 2012

Hi there!
Joseph Kony. I guess many of you know who he is, and many don't. I've only heard from him a few days ago, and now almost everything I think about is him.
My first question is: Why? Why does he do it? What's his reason? Why does he abduct thousands of children (and has been doing it for the past 20 years)? Why does he use the girls as sex slaves, the boys as children soldiers. Many of them have been crippled, their faces full of scars that will always be there. Remembered.
I can't... No words. How someone can do something this cruel. It's unbelievable.
Well, this is Kony. Joseph Kony.
Some information about him on Wikipedia:
Joseph Kony is an Ugandan guerilla group leader, head of the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA). While initially enjoying strong public report, the LRA turned brutally on its own supporters, supposedly to 'purify' the Acholi people and turn Uganda into a theocracy ruled by the Ten Commandments.
The LRA is a millitant group, with an extreme religious ideology that is a syncretic mix of mysticism, Acholism and Christianity, known for the atrocities it commits against civilians, including murder, mutilations, rape, and in some accounts even cannibalism.
Directed by Kony, the LRA has earned a reputation for its actions against the people of several countries, including northern Uganda, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Central African Republic, South Sudan, and Sudan. It has abducted and forced an estimated 66,000 children to fight for them, and has forced the internal displacement of over two milion people since its rebellion began in 1986.

And here's more information about him:

Then, you have the video. KONY 2012. It is put up by the group 'Invisible Children Inc.'. The idea is to make him famous, to make people notice what he has done to all these children, the problems he has caused. But almost nobody knows him. That's why they made a video - KONY 2012. All we have to do, is share that video as much as possible. Here's the video.
So, I hope many of you know now how bad Joseph Kony is. Please watch the whole video, and see what it says. Please.
Sincerely,
Lisa.

(Don't) Date a Girl who Reads

Hi there, it's been some time since I wrote a piece. Now, I actually want to show you something.

Date a girl who reads.

Don't date a girl who reads.

Since I read, a lot, I want you to know how much that first link means to me. I've never really felt accepted, so this really helped with it. But the other part - Don't date a girl who reads - gives me the opposite feeling. That I'm more or less a waste of space.
If you have time, could you read through both of these texts, and tell me what you think of it?
Sincerely,
Lisa
